Our annual May Bank Holiday track day at Castle Combe is always one of our most enjoyable events of the year. It’s a great Club Lotus day out as well as a brilliant value and safe track day exclusively for Lotus cars.

Castle Combe is one of the friendliest of all UK race circuits and as well as a superb and smooth track has excellent facilities for drivers and spectators alike. Last year we had some fantastic sunny weather with warm, bright sunshine all day which meant plenty of track time for participants. The Castle Combe management will as usual be strictly enforcing their rules to keep the paddock solely for us and NO race cars, transporters or motor homes will be allowed in the paddock after 17.00 on Friday evening. A completely empty paddock solely for our use on Saturday affords us plenty of space for car displays, trade stands and the regular free club members’ autojumble. Public admission is free so come along to drive, learn, watch, chat, meet friends and have a great day out with lots of Lotus cars and like-minded enthusiasts.

Track driving packages are just £99 - the same price as the last three years - which guarantees two 15 minute sessions on the fast, smooth and flowing 1.85 mile circuit when the track opens at 09.00. Once these first sessions have been completed we’ll go to open pit lane (usually from around 14.00/14.30). You’re then able to go out again as many times as you can manage until the circuit closes at 17.00. With lots of track time available you’re sure to have a great day which is also excellent value for money. We only allow 12 cars on the track in each session so there’s plenty of room to drive at your own pace and learn about your Lotus. Passengers are free but must be at least 16 years old. Full marshalling and medical facilities are provided by the circuit’s regular race staff and there will be a comprehensive driver safety briefing before you go out. Your car will also have to pass the standard Castle Combe noise test of 100db (A) and you’ll need to remove loose items or make sure they’re securely stowed away. Arms and legs must be covered but race overalls are not required and cameras are allowed providing they’re properly secured. If you don’t have a crash helmet you can hire one free of charge on the day against a fully refundable deposit.

To book call us on 01362 694459 / 691144 SOON as we’d hate you to be disappointed. If you’re coming with friends and want to go out together that’s no problem and for 12 cars we can arrange an exclusive 15 minute session.

Free professional instruction is available from the resident, experienced and ARDS qualified Castle Combe instructors although they’ll probably gently twist your arm for a small donation to our regular charity Macmillan Cancer Support. Only Lotus cars are allowed on track and whilst there’s obviously no speed limits we insist on good driving standards and behaviour so that everybody can enjoy themselves safely and at their own pace.

There’s plenty of room in the paddock for our regular Historic Lotus displays, individual models, groups and local areas to park together, get the picnic out and enjoy a great day’s entertainment. Castle Combe is in a beautiful part of the country and has first class facilities, the best racetrack restaurant in the UK and plenty of good spectator viewing areas on the high grass banks around the circuit.

During the lunch break we’ll organise our usual FREE lunchtime parade lap sessions of Historic Lotus cars and everyone who arrives in a Lotus will also be invited to take part - no helmets required and passengers of all ages are allowed.

We’re also offering autojumble spaces for members so bring your unwanted spares along and make some cash. No need to register but come along to the Strawford Centre when you arrive and we’ll let you know where to set up. There’s no fixed charge for these we’ll invite you to make a donation to Macmillan if you’ve done well. Also if you want to buy anything from our Club Shop just pre-order from Club HQ and we’ll bring it down for you to collect and save the postage.

So come along, join in the fun and enjoy a memorable day out with us at Castle Combe.
