CLUB LOTUS SHOW - LATEST NEWSCLUB LOTUS SHOW - LATEST NEWS
Brian Angus will be giving technical talks on Saturday and Sunday on the 900 series engines and the Espriit. He'll also be on the Club Lotus stand on both days to answer any questions as will Brian Buckland who'll also be hosting tech talks on the Elan and twin cam engine. This is in addition to the wide range of technical advice available on the stands from the likes of Steve Fulcher, Option I Sportscars, Spyder Engineering, Hangar 111, Chris Neil, PNM, Nitron, and CTM Engineering to mention a few.

slot. The hall has been completely refurbished during 2012 and as well
as a new coat of paint there’s a new restaurant, bar, toilets, heating
and wiring -you’ll hardly recognise the old place..!

BOB CHAPMANWe were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Chapman who died on Saturday 19th January after a brave battle with cancer.

Club Lotus Show and Festival 13th and 14th August 2011 - Thanks To AllOur 2011 show was a great success with good weather, lots of visitors and some fantastic cars to see in the hall. The traders and stand holders reported very good business and plenty of interest from visitors and there was a real buzz around the show all weekend.

LoTRDC Race Preview Donington 13th and 14th August 2011Ken Savage heads to Donington next weekend (13/14 August) keen to build on his lead at the top of the Lotus Cup UK Championship table. The Production class driver, who is also competing with great success in the Elise Trophy this year, has scored several class victories and leads Steve Quick by 11 points at the halfway stage of the season. With last year’s Elise Trophy round at the East Midlands circuit cancelled whilst it awaited refurbishment, only Savage has race experience here in a Lotus and will be aiming to use this to his advantage.

It promises to be a fantastic weekend for enthusiasts, with superb on-track action from 300 historic racing cars from the 1930s to the 1980s.
The Festival includes Group C Le Mans sportscars, Porsche 917s and Ferrari GTO’s, pre-War Bentleys, Bugattis and Alfa Romeos and far more besides. A Tribute to Ron HickmanIt’s our sad duty to report that Ron Hickman died in a Jersey hospital on Thursday morning, 17th February. He was 78 and had been unwell since suffering a fall last autumn and his health sadly deteriorated in recent weeks.
Ron will probably be best known to Lotus enthusiasts as the man who created the legendary Elan but he also played a key role in designing the revolutionary Type 14 Elite. The Elite’s glassfibre monocoque was a groundbreaking piece of design and established Lotus Cars as manufacturers of world beating sports racing cars.

Club Lotus Show & Festival 2011 - Donington Park August 13th & 14thWe've brought our 2011 show forward by one week from the date we announced last month. This is because the Elise Trophy race meeting at Donington was recently changed from 20/21 August to the weekend of 13/14 August and it therefore makes sense to similarly move the show forward one week.
