Lotus Elan PLN 410E... ...The Discovery Of A Lost ‘Silver Streak’
In October of 2025, I noticed an advertisement for a 1967 Lotus Elan S3 SE FHC restoration project in Lotus Yellow, which appeared to be in original condition. It disappeared after a few weeks and I assumed that it had been sold, but I was pleased when it was re-advertised a few weeks later. After discussions with the owner, I purchased the car on the 6th January. It is chassis no. 36/7110 and after purchase I found that it retains its original factory block and head no. LP8086LAA, which match the details shown on the Certificate of Provenance from Lotus Cars that was obtained by the previous owner. The certificate did not record the body colour.
