We've just learnt that the first Lotus factory in Tottenham Lane, Hornsey is being surveyed for re-development, possibly housing. The site is classed as a 'Locally Significant Industrial Site' which gives a degree of protection but by no means a 100% guarantee it will be protected. Members and all Lotus enthusiasts are strongly encouraged to lobby Haringey Council for its continued preservation under the Council's Heritage Policies.

The Festival organisers have just told us that the booking deadline for Car Club ticket packages has been extended until 31st July (unless tickets sell out before!). Club packages are incredible value and remember that all of them include a priceless free infield parking pass to our club stand. In our opinion it’s the best classic and race festival in the UK and with our member discounts certainly the best value.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I have the following ticket for sale. The ticket is for The CTL Garden Party on Sunday 16th June at East Carleton Manor. The cost would be almost half price at only £100. Please contact me on coooterry@aol.com or 07956 435321. Terry Cook

Allon White Sports Cars hosts a Breakfast Club on the 1st Saturday of every month. The running order is bacon rolls, tea, coffee and cakes from 9am and then a guest speaker or workshop at 10am.

For our next Breakfast Club on Saturday 6th July, we're having a bit of a light-hearted debate on who builds the better British sports car, Lotus or Morgan...

And to help things along, we've two great speakers lined up.

I am a Club Lotus member and recently bought tickets for this year's Silverstone Festival using the Club Lotus code. Literally a few hours after purchasing them I realised that my husband and l can no longer attend the event.

I paid £125 for Saturday 24th August. I contacted Silverstone and they do not do refunds . I wondered if any members would be interested in buying the tickets from

There is due to be a price increase on 3rd April for all car club member ticket packages when all packages will increase by £5. Please book before then to take advantage of the current discounts. Full details of how to book and our exclusive member discount code can be found in the January issue of Club Lotus News.

Remember that all Car Club packages are due to go off sale on 30th June. Please book prior to this to avoid disappointment.
