Elan S2 short engine and close-ratio gearbox

Short engine (no head) and close-ratio gearbox removed from my standard-specification Elan S2 in February 2026. Both now surplus to requirements, plus several new oil filters. The gearbox is complete and fully working with a smooth gear change; only the case breather next to the gear change is missing, £1,200 ono. Short engine: four-bolt crank, flywheel, block, timing case, running +30thou original-design pistons. Oil pressure good. 2,000 miles ago the bores were de-glazed and new rings, timing chain and water pump fitted. The original paper oil filter pump is refitted but worn. Electronic ignition distributor included, £1,250 ono. Box of 15 paper oil filters £65 including postage. Contact Gerry Kirt.
