I am a Club Lotus member and recently bought tickets for this year's Silverstone Festival using the Club Lotus code. Literally a few hours after purchasing them I realised that my husband and l can no longer attend the event.

I paid £125 for Saturday 24th August. I contacted Silverstone and they do not do refunds . I wondered if any members would be interested in buying the tickets from

Our annual track day at Castle Combe takes place on Saturday 25th May. It’s always one of our most enjoyable events of the year and is a great Club Lotus day out as well as a brilliant value and safe track day exclusively for Lotus cars.

To celebrate 75 years of Lotus cars there will be a lunchtime track parade on Saturday 26th August for all Lotus cars attending the Festival. Club Lotus members can take advantage of substantial discounts on tickets by using our unique club code - full details of how to book are in the April issue of Club Lotus News. The organisers have just told us that the booking deadline for Car Club packages has been extended until 31st July (unless they sell out before!). Remember that all club packages include a priceless infield parking pass to our stand - it promises to be a memorable weekend.

The Jim Clark Trust are organising a weekend event at Duns to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Jim’s first F1 World Championship and also Team Lotus first F1 Constructors World Championship.

The event will be based at Duns Castle where there will be a big display of Lotus racing cars raced by Jim during his career. Other vintage Lotus and sports cars will also be there plus a big display of Lotus road cars. It is hoped that the engines of the Grand Prix cars will be started periodically over the weekend to enable visitors to hear the evocative noise they generate.

The countdown to the 75th Lotus Anniversary has begun and there are many Lotus events and initiatives taking place in Europe this year. In co-operation with some well-known Lotus Clubs, the Lotus Historic Register Germany are organising the Lotus Day Sinsheim on 29th July at the Auto und Technik Museum in Sinsheim.

Clive Chapman and Classic Team Lotus have announced the inaugural Classic Team Lotus Garden Party on May 20th at East Carleton Manor near Hethel. All Club Lotus members are warmly invited to attend this very special day

Club Lotus members can take part in a special track parade at this year’s Silverstone Festival to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Lotus Cars. This will be open to all members who come to the event in their Lotus and the parade will be during the lunch break in racing on Saturday 26th August. Members can as usual benefit from our special discounted ticket rates, all of which include a priceless infield parking pass for our infield club stand. For details on how to book and our unique discount code see the January issue of Club Lotus News or give Club HQ a call. We have also been advised by Silverstone that there will be a price increase on April 3rd so book now.

We’ve just registered for the Thruxton Historic race meeting on the 17th and 18th of June 2023. Club members can purchase tickets at 50% off the on the day price as well as receiving a free club display vehicle pass. Full details and booking information together with our club discount code will be in the April issue of Club Lotus News. If you want to book before then just call Club HQ with your membership number and we’ll tell you what to do. Car Club tickets must be booked by 2pm Monday 12th June and tickets and display vehicle passes will be sent to club members by first class post on or before this date.
