It covers the commercial, design and sporting background to one of the most recognisable liveries in Formula One history.

Johnny Tipler was closely connected with the period, having worked with the Stanbury Foley Organisation, whose client was John Player & Son. The book draws on interviews with key figures from the JPS era, images from John Player photographer Ian Catt, and a wide range of JPS memorabilia and archive material.
